Thanks Lycan!
Dan, Jimbo's is right across the street from Comiskey/Cell, so it isn't right by my house. It's an hour+ to get there, and I wanted a nice quiet place to listen to all of the post game wrap-up's. I'm not a big party guy, but a baseball fanatic, so the memories I wanted to keep in my mind are not those of the people partying in the streets, but rather of my team all jumping around in their locker room chanting "URIBE!" over and over again, and of El Duque spraying Hurt and them basically embracing each other and crying. I want to hold those memories. At a bar, I wouldn't have been able to hold my White Sox Encyclopedia and flip through the pages during a game, needing the pictures of Joe Jackson, Gleason, all of the 1917 team and the team picture of the 1906 hitless wonders looking back at me assuring me we would be "O.K.", and that book wouldn't be there to cradle all night. I would be taking a chance of messing up my 1917 hat my Dad gave me on my last visit to him.
I also would not want my picture on TV being zapped back to you so you could later point and laugh as all of the country see's me with tears in my eyes.
I'll be at Jimbo's, but last night, I wanted to be no other place at that moment than sitting on my couch. O.K., I was pacing back and forth behind the couch, and when Uribe scooped that ball I held my breath and then Paulie with the grab...I was yelling guts out. But the idea of being home...ya know..

Did you get the chance to go to any games this year? I try to make a few a year. This year I went to 2 games, back to back nights, against the NY Mets. I was at the game that David Wright (3B, Mets) dove into the crowd, literally about 5 rows up, and caught the foul ball. I don't know if anyone saw it, but it was the play of the year!! He looked like superman flying into the crowd. Uribe was impressive on D, that's for sure. The very last out was sweet! Cheers Carl!
